Monthly meetings are the heart of Vancouver Iranian Professionals. They are where relationships are built, referrals are exchanged, and our community grows stronger month after month — in person, around one table.
A Consistent Place to Connect
Since 2011, VIP members have gathered each month to support one another’s businesses and careers. Every meeting is an opportunity to deepen trusted relationships, share opportunities, and stay connected to the wider Iranian-Canadian business community in Metro Vancouver.
Where We Meet
Our monthly meetings are hosted at Gilaneh Restaurant in North Vancouver — a comfortable, welcoming venue that lets members and guests connect over a shared meal. Meeting dates and agendas are announced in advance so everyone can plan to attend.
What Happens at a Meeting
- Networking with professionals across diverse industries.
- Referrals and introductions that open doors to new opportunities.
- Member updates and the chance to share what you do.
- Guest participation, welcoming new faces into the community.
Members and Guests
Members are encouraged to attend at least 8 of 11 meetings each year, in person or through a designated representative, keeping the community active and engaged. Guests are always welcome and can attend as a guest to experience a meeting before joining.
The Value of Meeting in Person
In a digital world, there is still no substitute for sitting across the table from someone. Our in-person monthly meetings create the kind of genuine, face-to-face connection that builds real trust — the foundation of every strong referral and partnership.
Gathering each month at the same welcoming venue also creates rhythm and familiarity. You see the same faces, follow up on earlier conversations, and watch relationships deepen month after month. That consistency is what makes VIP more than a networking event — it is a community.
