Many people think a Realtor’s job is to show homes, market properties, and negotiate offers. While those tasks are important, the most valuable part of the process is understanding the client.
Understanding the client comes first
A good Realtor should spend 70–75% of their time getting to know their client’s unique situation, goals, and concerns. Every buyer, seller, and property is different, which means there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Every property has its own story
The same is true for properties. Every home has unique features that require a specific marketing strategy when selling and careful evaluation when buying. What works for one property may not work for another.
Strategy follows understanding
The best real estate decisions happen when a Realtor takes the time to understand both the client and the property. That understanding creates a strategy tailored to the client’s needs and leads to better results.
Real estate is not about transactions—it’s about people, their goals, and finding the right path for each unique situation.
